Hi Folks,

Given the current exponential increase in volatility its worth reviewing strategy rule regarding ATR period length.

At present the daily and weekly ATR length for strategy calculations is 100 periods. While this is suitable in normal and nearly normal market conditions it is very clear that we are back into uncharted waters again similar to the financial melt down.

One of the things that was learnt during the melt down was the need to make a quick adaptation to fast and big changes in market environment and I did at the time find myself dithering around probably like most people. This time around having had that experience and wanting to make sure that "the right thing is done" for a similar "what if" situation developing again a quick decision can now be made to make a very slight but important adjustment to the strategy.
