Some of the guys in the LTR have been discussing alternative trading/charting platforms to use instead of MT4, and while TradeStation is clearly the preferred option, it is not always within peoples financial capabilities when starting out.

NinjaTrader is one of the options that has been discussed by a few people, and as I have spent the last 4 or 5 months trialling a few different platforms in my own effort to find one that best suits me and my needs, I felt it only fair to offer the findings I have come across when using NinjaTrader, and the plus points and minus points I drew up for comparison.

Rather than just mention a few words in the LTR, I thought it might be a good idea to do a video to highlight what I did within NinjaTrader so you can view and go through it in your own time. This in no way represents a tutorial video, just a video of the processes I went through when loading charts, and the shortcuts I found while using the platform.

The video ended up being quite long, so I decided to split it into 3 parts:-

Part 1) Covers how I set up my charts and organised my open windows

Part 2) Covers How I added my trigger lines for use with Snatch

Part 3) Covers the ATM strategy module built in to NinjaTrader (best bit of it all in my opinion )

You'll prob need to set aside around 20 mins if you go through them all back to back, so close the office door, grab a brew and a pack of biscuits.
