Hi folks,

As mentioned in the Live Trading Room, it looks like we have a good day to do homework Friday... we do mini sessions through the week as well as I don't know what Friday is going to be like.

Anyway, A great finish for the week with a good morning session and as I'm typing this it only 10am uk hours and there is a 105 pips locked in on GBPUSD euro and swissy on free runs looking for ATM levels to lock some profits in. cadjpy and cadchf not looking to health at the moment but time will tell.

...So then homework, the practical session so far has highlighted further some points that I raised earlier in the week

Some things you should be considering are;

Write a trading plan out... this will help you understand the patterns and trade management and highlight any areas that your not sure about

Learn the tools that you are using. This just isn't the chart, fibs, or other indicators... If your a new PC user, learn how to use that computer. understand your spread... this is the cost of business for you each broker is different.

Learn to use the platform that you have... this is the big one that came out of today's practical session... this is what demo accounts were meant for... push some buttons see what happens, it will not cost you anything on the demo account.

Learn about the orders and order types, the demo account is also great for this, pus some buttons find out what they all do, read the support notes for your broker, if your not sure, give their customer support a call that's what they are there for.

If you have a question ask it, the only stupid question is the one that you don't ask. I would also say that attempting to answer your own questions as well will help steepen that learning curve... it doesn't matter if your right or wrong, the fact that your thinking about the answer will help you learn.

Compare this to some one who just gets spoon fed answers, they are most likely not concerned with the why or understanding what it means. These people will not progress as quick if at all as they just want someone to tell them what to do... if that's what your after join the Army or get a 9-5 job and your boss can push you around for the rest of your life
